Although this booklet contains a few little notes from one person to another, it is, in the main, the writings of my daughter, Mandy. Courageously, Mandy shares some of her feelings and writings during her most testing times. To use her own words, “During my darkest times, when I was being systematically beaten and raped, when I daily drank myself into oblivion just to get through, when I was suffering with post–natal illness and then left with four very young children to raise, when I truly believed myself too dirty to even pray in case I soiled God and when I truly believed that God himself had cast me out of His sight…I still wanted God to know that I loved Him. And so silently and very secretly I began to write on scraps of paper what was in my heart.” These are some of my writings.
