I came home, went straight to my room, sat on the edge of my bed, kicked off my shoes, unhooked my bra, and I had myself a good cry.

I'm telling you, I cried until my nose was running all over the silk blouse I got on sale.
I cried until my ears were hot. I cried until my head was hurting so bad that I could hardly see the pile of soiled tissues lying on the floor at my feet.

I want you to understand, I had myself a really good cry yesterday.

I cried because there really does come a time when the only thing left for you to do is cry.

I cried a soulful cry yesterday, and it felt so good.

In the midst of my crying, I felt my freedom coming,
Because Yesterday, I cried with an agenda.

Lyanla Vanzant: Taken from her poem, Yesterday I Cried

A child of God with a made-up mind is a powerful thing

Choice is a divine teacher, for when we choose, we learn

that nothing is ever put in our path without a reason

The only way to get what you really want

is to let go of what you don't want

Iyanla Vanzant

The man whispered, "God, speak to me," and a Bluebird sang

but the man didn't hear it.

The man yelled, "God speak to me," and the thunder rolled across the sky

but the man didn’t listen.

The man then screamed, "God let me see you" and a star shone brightly

but the man didn’t notice.

So, in despair, the man fell onto his knees and pleaded, "Touch me God, please touch me and let me know that you are here," and God reached down and touched the man

but the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.

We can, so easily, miss out on God's blessings because they aren't packaged the way we expect them to be.

"What we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But if that drop was not in the ocean, I think the ocean would be less because of that missing drop. I do not agree with the big way of doing things."

Mother Teresa

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Marianne Williamson

A nervous breakdown is often due to a spiritual breakthrough

Again, I really hope you enjoyed reading this page,

I will try to add more pages in the near future

Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage.

If you don't like something, change it.

If you can't change it, change your attitude to it.

We may encounter many defeats

but we must not be defeated.

At fifteen life had taught me undeniably that surrender, in its place, was as honorable as resistance, especially if one had no choice.

I know why the caged bird sings

The free bird leaps on the back of the wind

and floats downstream till the current ends
and dips his wings in the orange sun rays
and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks down his narrow cage
can seldom see through his bars of rage
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings with fearful trill
of the things unknown but longed for still
and his tune is heard on the distant hill

for the caged bird sings of freedom

The free bird thinks of another breeze
an the trade winds soft through the sighing trees
and the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright lawn
and he names the sky his own.

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing

The caged bird sings with a fearful trill
of things unknown but longed for still
and his tune is heard on the distant hill
for the caged bird sings of freedom.

Maya Angelou

Still I rise

You may write me down in history with your bitter, twisted lies.
You may trod me in the very dirt but still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you? Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns, with the certainty of tides.
Just like hopes springing high, still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken, bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops, weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you? Don't you take it awful hard.
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words. You may cut me with your eyes.
You may kill me with your hatefulness. But still, like air, I'll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you, does it come as a surprise
that I dance like I've got diamonds at the meeting of my thighs?

Maya Angelou

Out of the huts of history's shame, I rise.
Up from a past that's rooted in pain, I rise.
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,

welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear, I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear, I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise - I rise - I rise.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

when the road you're trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,

and you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit,

rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

as every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a fellow turns about

when he might have won had he stuck it out.

Don't give up though the pace seems slow,

you may succeed with just one more blow.

Often the goal is nearer than it seems

to a faint and faltering man.

Often the struggler has given up

when he might have captured the victor's cup.

And he learned too late when the night came down,

how close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out,

the silver tint in the clouds of doubt.

And you never can tell how close you are,

it might be near when it seems afar.

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,

it's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Use what talent you have;

the woods would be very silent

if no bird sang but those that sang the best

If you are going through hell, just keep going

Winston Churchill

Tell your story because your story will heal you and it will heal someone else. Each life is a story filled with the drama, surprises and mysteries that make living a wonderful and interesting journey. . . If you have a story, then you have the potential to be a healer, a teacher, a more conscious, productive individual and a Spiritual Life Coach.

True happiness is not found at the expense of others but rather,                    when reaching out and serving others
